Are you in?Primary Purpose: PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Performs general cleaning and maintenance of various locations within the company. Assists in related building services to maintain orderly and healthy working conditions.

Primary Duties: PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Performs general cleaning such as mopping and cleaning floors, offices, washrooms lunchrooms and other areas under the jurisdiction of the department. Remove trash from all areas and makes special collections when requested. Dusts furniture cleans glass bookcases, ash trays, and pictures. Performs minor building maintenance such as replacing burned out light bulbs.
• Moves and assembles furniture and file cabinet frames. Assembles and dismantles free standing partitions. Relocates and/or rearranges offices.
• Responsible for occasional outside maintenance such as cutting grass and trimming hedges at various locations of Company property. Pick up litter and debris from building grounds and exterior walkways to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Operates a Company vehicle to transport other personnel and to deliver or collect material.
• Assist in the cleaning and preparation of meetings and other special facilities events.

Job Scope: JOB SCOPE

The Building Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment within Company facilities. This position performs general janitorial services, light maintenance tasks, and assists with furniture relocation and event setup to support daily operations and special events. The Building Attendant ensures the interior and exterior of company buildings are presentable and hygienic, contributing to the comfort and productivity of employees and visitors. Duties include cleaning various workspaces, removing waste, operating company vehicles for transport and deliveries, and conducting routine groundskeeping such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, and litter removal.

Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess High School Diploma or GED or Trade School Diploma.
• Possess a valid driver's permit in jurisdiction where employed with ability to obtain a Pepco drivers permit.
• Possess knowledge of computer use (e.g. word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheet software).
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to train or instruct other personnel.
• Ability to follow direct instructions.

• Hourly rates will be paid in accordance with terms of the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience or collective bargaining agreement: $25.27/Hr.
