Job Title: Certified Athletic Trainer

Role Summary
As a Certified Athletic Trainer, you will work under the direct supervision of a physical therapist to provide physical therapeutic intervention to patients with functional defects secondary to musculoskeletal or sports related injuries. You could also provide athletic training to local school athletic teams as well as educate patients, family, and the community.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Treat patients according to the assessment results and treatment plan established by the physical therapist.
· Document all necessary information and response to treatment and modify as needed.
· Educate other departments as well as the community with lectures and classes.
· Provides athletic training services to local schools and outpatient clinics.
Qualifications and Skills
· Graduate from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree or higher.
· Certified Athletic Trainer in the state of Michigan.
Essential Physical Abilities/Motor Skills
· Sufficient strength and stability to perform passive, active or resistive exercises.
· Ability to travel throughout facility as well as area high schools independently.
· Small motor skills required for operating computers, office equipment and telephones.
