Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Some duties and responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
- This position is primarily responsible for driving a tractor/trailer transporting materials to and from specified destinations by performing the duties listed below. (Flatbed experience preferred but not a must - will train).
- Drives truck to destination.
- Loads and unloads the truck.
- Secures cargo for transit.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Check fluid levels daily.
- Maintain cab folders/trailer paperwork.
- Maintain truck e-log on company-provided tablets and complete daily.
- Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Maintain a clean truck; wash truck weekly.
- Regard the Yard Speed Limit of 5 MPH.
