Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a CRNA to the Anesthesiology group at NYC Health + Hospitals / South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy and accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards and to provide its staff with teaching and research opportunities and the chance to work with medical students, residents and fellows very closely.

Opportunity Details:

Join our vibrant and dynamic team of driven and talented Anesthesiologists and CRNAs providing comprehensive peri-operative anesthesia services to all surgical sub-specialties, including Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Pediatric and Thoracic Surgery, with a busy General Surgery, GYN Surgery and more.

We have a new hospital building, equipped with 8 new state of the art Operating Rooms and a Surgical Robot. Our L&D Suite is fully renovated with private delivery rooms and a dedicated OR Suite.

We are implementing a FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE

Solo + CRNA supervision - CRNA Supervision Ratio: mostly 2:1, sometimes 3:1

Approximately 4,500 surgeries per year, 7 operating rooms and 4 GI suites

Vast majority of cases are bread and butter

OB coverage (1,400 deliveries/year) for those who prefer

Occasional thoracic cases (1-2 cases/month total)

Some pediatrics (no elective neonates, vast majority of peds are health 4-6 yr old dental cases)

NO TRAUMA

Qualifications

  • Current NYS RN License and Registration, BSN, and MSN
  • Board Certification by the NBCRNA required within the first year of hire

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $250,000* to $260,000* (based on years of experience) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $275,000** and $286,000** (based on years of experience) , which includes the baseline salary, 401 (k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $98,800***.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you. 
    • Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
  • Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
  • Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
  • Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
