Events & Activities Coordinator

Location: Thurston County, WA

Pay: $20 – $26/hour, DOE

Schedule: Full-time | Tuesday–Saturday (includes some evenings, weekends, and holidays)

SmartTalent is hiring on behalf of one of our valued clients in the Thurston County area. We are seeking a creative, energetic, and highly organized Events & Activities Coordinator to lead engaging programs and events that enrich the lives of community members. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage a diverse calendar of activities and events including fitness, wellness, cultural programs, social gatherings, pet events, and more
• Coordinate logistics for events: booking entertainment, arranging catering, securing materials, and managing day-of execution
• Build partnerships with local businesses and vendors to enhance community programming
• Support the development of new member clubs and programs; help coordinate facility space and scheduling
• Promote activities and provide concierge-style assistance to residents and guests
• Collaborate with the sales team to keep the community event-ready and welcoming
• Attend meetings with community boards and committees as needed
• Maintain high standards of customer service and member engagement

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in event planning, recreation, or hospitality required
• Strong organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Comfortable with public speaking and community engagement
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Creative, energetic, and proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, reaching) for extended periods
