Description We are looking for an entry-level Financial Analyst to join our team in Long Beach, California, supporting a dynamic Oil & Gas industry. In this long-term contract position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data while contributing to pricing strategies and market analysis. Responsibilities: - Maintain and ensure the integrity of the price book database, including accurate cost, retail, and essential item attributes. - Communicate with vendors to gather data requirements and foster effective relationships. - Support complex projects related to pricing programs, new item setups, store onboarding, acquisitions, and mergers. - Develop and enhance audit reports for cross-functional partners to streamline processes. - Evaluate pricing strategies and store zone clustering results to identify risks and opportunities. - Monitor competitor pricing strategies and analyze their impact on organizational performance, sharing insights with Category Managers. - Design Alteryx workflows to automate routine tasks and perform detailed analysis. - Provide actionable insights to Category Managers and the Director of Pricing to improve decision-making. - Train and mentor pricing coordinators to promote best practices and efficiency. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or mathematics preferred. - 3-5 years of experience in pricing or a similar analytical role. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Familiarity with analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, or Power BI. - Experience working with databases or data warehouses; specific tools preferred. - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a passion for working with numbers. - Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. - Self-motivated and proactive in solving complex problems.
