PAY RATE: $50,000 - $60,000 annually

Job Description Summary The
Human Resources Generalist serves as a key partner in supporting our growing hospice organization’s people and culture initiatives. This role is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR compliance activities. Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Partner with department leaders to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies for clinical and non-clinical roles.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
- Build relationships with local schools, professional associations, and community organizations to attract qualified candidates.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the process.
Onboarding & Orientation - Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding to ensure a welcoming and compliant start for all employees.
- Facilitate orientation sessions to communicate company culture, mission, and values.
- Ensure completion of all pre-employment and onboarding documentation.
- Partner with managers to ensure smooth integration of new hires into their teams.
Employee Engagement & Culture - Promote [Company Name] as an employer of choice by highlighting employee success stories and community involvement.
- Assist in planning employee recognition programs, engagement surveys, and wellness initiatives.
- Support a positive workplace culture aligned with the organization’s mission and core values.
HR Operations & Compliance - Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
- Support employee relations efforts by providing guidance and documentation support.
- Assist with performance management processes and professional development initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR leadership on policy implementation, compliance audits, and benefits administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of HR generalist or related HR experience; healthcare or hospice experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, team-oriented approach consistent with hospice philosophy.
- Proficiency in HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
