Job Description

The Lactation Consultant assists and assess patients with breastfeeding while making daily rounds. Will evaluate patients who have problems breastfeeding and develop feeding schedule/plan with the pediatrician, bedside nurse and mother.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare field required; Registered Nurse (RN) preferred
• International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• One year working in acute care setting with breastfeeding mothers; Baby Friendly facility preferred
