Hotel Jerome has been the social hub of Aspen since its opening in 1889 at the height of the town’s silver boom, known as the place where all great stories were born and are told. As the only Aspen hotel to survive the silver crash, the long pre-ski-resort winters, and the Depression, we’ve seen cowboys ride through our doors, 10th Mountain Division soldiers gather round over pints after training on the slopes, and Hunter S. The targeted compensation wage for this on-call year round, exempt position is $11.79/hr plus tips. The position offers a competitive compensation package presented by Auberge Resorts Collection.

Job Description

Step into the limelight as a Banquet Server and become the orchestrator of unforgettable dining experiences. Join our ensemble of service professionals dedicated to delivering seamless events where every guest is treated to a symphony of flavors and exceptional hospitality.

• Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible. 
• Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property specific processes to resolve issues, delight, and build trust. Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
• Answer questions on menu selections, and check with kitchen staff whenever additional clarification is necessary
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
• Set tables according to the type of event and service standards, including types of linens, glassware, plate/chinaware, and silver/flatware, ensuring all supplies meet quality standards
• Follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol

Qualifications

• Must be able to adhere to timelines in completion of set-ups. 
• Must be able to work well under pressure
• Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
• Must be highly detail orientated
• At least 1 year of server experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
