Job Description

Simply Solar is looking for an exceptional Sales Manager to join our team of driven, intelligent, and community-focused sales professionals. This is an incredible opportunity to join one of California’s leading residential solar companies and help shape the future of clean energy.

Based in the Bay Area, Simply Solar is a full-service residential solar provider with over 12 years of experience. We’ve built a strong reputation for handling California’s most technically complex projects while delivering premium service to high-end clients. Our offerings include solar and battery installation, diagnostics, inverter and battery replacements, panel cleaning, and maintenance programs.

Role Overview

As Sales Manager, you will play a key leadership role in driving sales performance, team development, and customer satisfaction. You’ll help expand our reach, strengthen client relationships, and ensure our sales organization continues to exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the sales team to achieve peak performance.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the solar industry.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed individual and group sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct engaging product presentations, craft compelling proposals, and close deals.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies.
  • Oversee daily sales operations to ensure efficient and effective processes.
  • Provide regular reports and performance updates to the COO.
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of sales strategies that drive revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Proven solar sales experience with an understanding of the California Solar market
  • Basic understanding of photovoltaic solar systems, inverters, and battery technology
  • Outstanding sales acumen, including closing and follow-up skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or motivating sales teams. 
  • Integrity, honesty, and a strong desire to create a positive brand experience 
  • High proficiency with computers and online tools 
  • Quick thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Comfortable with flexible hours
  • Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Current HIS license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check 
  • Reliable and always available transportation
  • Fluent in English, required
  • Conversational in Spanish a plus

  • Estimating experience
  • College degree
