The Process Engineer focuses on designing, developing, and implementing new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical mass production of goods including:

• Designing arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure most efficient and productive layout
• Designing the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicabletools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions
• Conducting tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables andtroubleshooting/solving production problems
• Providing guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
• Ensuring that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Individuals in these roles have a functional knowledge focus and are primarily responsible for achieving results through their own work and through teams that they may be part of. Requires the application of theoretical knowledge typically gained through formal education (i.e. a postsecondary degree) and on the job training. Progression within the levels reflects increased functional expertise, scope and complexity of work, and ability to influence others. May mentor, coach and/or train less experienced co-workers. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally require moderate expenditure of resources to rectify.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

BS in Engineering + 3 years related experience or MA + 1 year related experience
