First Baptist Church of San Angelo Texas is hiring!  We are looking to hire an experienced Youth and College Ministry Pastor.

About the Position:

First Baptist Church of San Angelo is seeking a Youth and College Pastor to disciple and lead middle school, high school, and college students under the leadership of the Senior Pastor. This role focuses on spiritual growth, discipleship, outreach, and leadership development while engaging students and their families in the life of the church. The Youth and College Ministry at FBC has faced many challenges over the past 15-20 years, but over the past 3 years a rebuilding process has begun. We are seeking a visionary leader who can build on the past three years of growth to reach more students of all ages.

About First Baptist Church:

FBC is one of oldest downtown churches in San Angelo. We are a multigenerational church who seeks to minister to people of all ages and backgrounds. We are just a short drive from a High School of over 3,000 students, with several other schools located within a short distance.  San Angelo is also home to Angelo State University, which has over 11,000 students. We believe FBC San Angelo is strategically positioned to effectively reach students and families of all ages in the Concho Valley.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead weekly youth and college ministries, Bible studies, retreats, mission trips, and outreach events
• Disciple students and equip parents in spiritual leadership at home
• Provide pastoral care through counseling, visitation, and crisis support
• Recruit and mentor volunteer leaders to serve in the student ministry
• Collaborate with church leadership on student worship, education, and service
• Oversee and manage the youth and college ministry budget
• Assist the Senior Pastor with pastoral duties, including preaching, counseling, and church ordinances as needed

Qualifications:

• A growing disciple of Christ with a clear calling to student ministry
• Agreement with the teaching beliefs of First Baptist Church
• 3+ years of ministry experience in youth and/or college student leadership
• Strong biblical teaching, communication, and relational skills
• Self-starter with demonstrated experience building a ministry
• Willing to work flexible hours (to connect with students)
• A degree in ministry, theology, or a related field (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $50,000+ (Based on Experience)
